The amount of time you have at your disposal is fixed and beyond your control. Many people complain about not having enough time, when in fact the problem is that they are trying to do too much in the time they have at their disposal.
General Tips for Managing the Things You Do
Set yourself realistic medium- and long-term goals to work towards. Make sure you have both personal and professional goals.
- Evaluate and prioritisehow particular tasks, interruptions and events fit into achieving your goals.
- Planas an aid to achieving all your goals, but do not hold yourself too strictly to your plans.
- Leave space in your plan for the unplanned.
- Don't waste your time and effort on the things that do not help
you toward your goals.
Don't be afraid to say 'no'(but make sure you know why you are saying it).
